About Half Day Guided Small Group Walk

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Ballina, Ballina, Ballina Shire, New South Wales

Setting off along the banks of the picturesque Richmond River, we pass the notorious bar & historic lighthouse as we learn all about Ballina’s history as a port town. Keep your eyes open for dolphins & turtles! Coffee lovers won’t be disappointed with morning tea at Shelly Beach Café – absolute beachfront & tucked below the Ballina Head lookout.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Shelly Beach, Shelly Beach, New South Wales

Head off after morning tea to Sharpes Beach via the "Cultural Way", a section of dune vegetation that holds great significance for the Aboriginal people of this region. The next section of the walk is quite remote and the scenery truly breathtaking. It’s no wonder it’s a sought-after location used in TV, film & commercials; not to mention one of the best vantage points along the coast for spotting whales during their annual migration.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Boulder Beach, The coast rd, Lennox Head, New South Wales Australia

A gradual climb sees us atop the Lennox Point, known worldwide for its challenging surf break. Take a moment to savour the view to the Byron Lighthouse before heading down to the village of Lennox Head where you will find a wonderful selection of cafes, bars & retail outlets. Enjoy lunch and a swim at the surf club, boat channel or tea-tree lake before transferring back to your hotel.

Duration: 2 hours

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing this beautiful section of our coast with Byron Bay Coastal Walks. This was a private departure for a small group of 50 something women who like to spend our getaways doing something active & enjoying fine food & wine. Penny’s planning is meticulous & she has put together an awesome walking itinerary, beautiful accommodation & optional activities that will suit everyone! Liam our guide was knowledgeable & passionate & really enhanced the experience. I have been fortunate to walk in some beautiful spots around the world & count this coastal walk as one of my favorites.

Penny & Liam are extremely passionate, very knowledgeable locals and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our walks. They organized everything for our stay, are welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Stunning coastline and beaches with so much to see & do.
