The Butter Factory apartment was originally The North Coast Fresh Food & Cold Storage Co-operative Company Ltd (NORCO) which began operations at Byron Bay in June 1895, and became the largest bnutter supplier in the Southern hemisphere.
After NORCO the Byron Bay operation in 1972, the building was used for various industrial business, until it was reclaimed in 2009 for development & now boasts unique wharehouse style apartments.
