Guests are often taken aback by the beautiful garden that is Timandra by the Sea. This sustainable, award winning garden is loved by adults and children alike. It is a natural garden and a haven for many different birds and koalas.
Having won the 2014 Landscaping Victoria The Sustainable Landscape award, the garden is a showcase of the wonders of working with nature in all of its forms. Timandra by the Sea is now Ecotourism certified with Nature Based tourism.
Guided tours have Ecotourism certification along with two day workshops on the site of Timandra by the Sea.
Entry to the garden is via an honour system, which works really well for patrons. Bring a picnic hamper with a rug and enjoy the large one acre garden in peace. In summer, the garden can be up to ten degrees cooler than elsewhere, such is the powerful, cooling effect of the multitude of magnificent trees within it.
